Advent Devotional | LOVE
This Christmas we wanted to bring you messages of Hope, Love, Joy and Peace from some of our artist partners!
Evan Craft reminds us of the humble and powerful love we find in Jesus. “It is the foolishness of the world that is wisdom to God.”

Mercy In A Manger
When it comes to writing Christmas songs, the bar is set pretty high. There are beautiful arrangements of songs that reminisce of the cold, childhood and the sights and sounds we love so much.
“Mercy In A Manger” was a fun song to write because we wanted to cut through the holiday-ness to the corny but none the less true phrase “reason for the season”.
Luke 2:7 shares the story of Jesus being swathed in cloths and laid in a manger because there was no room for them at the inn.
This seems like a disaster but it was foretold, it was planned, it was divine.
Jesus entered time and space not as a conquering warrior, but as mercy, grace, and peace. The messiah cried that night as Mary held him close.
It’s overwhelming to recognize the sheer magnitude of God’s greatness and infiniteness laying in a manger.
But that is His love for you.
He would go to such great lengths to save us.
I invite you today to listen to this song and meditate on the truth, the hope, the mercy of God. Make room for Him today in your life and your heart.
