ZOE Music
The album was created from the scripture Revelations 4:11:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
Their mission is clear: to inspire and uplift those who already have a relationship with God while sharing the gospel with those who may not know Him yet. They're on a mission to redefine Christian music by creating a unique sound that can be enjoyed everywhere - on the radio, in malls, during church services, in the car, and beyond. Through their music, they hope to help people encounter the love of Jesus and find inspiration to embrace their creative identities.
The inspiration for their album comes from Revelation 4:11, which emphasizes God's worthiness to receive glory, honor, and power for creating all things according to His will.
The word "worthy" here means that God holds immense value and deserves our praise. The elders acknowledge three things about God: His glory, which reflects His essence and actions; honor, which is the respect we have for God; and power, which is His ability to carry out His plans.
They don't claim to give these qualities to God because creatures cannot give anything to their Creator. Instead, they affirm that God is deserving of them.
They praise God for three reasons:
1. He is the Creator and the source of everything
2. He sustains everything by His will, and
3. He created everything according to His liking
Recognizing God as the Creator means acknowledging His authority over the universe. He forgives sins, heals, redeems, and shows love and mercy in every aspect of our lives, including our bodies, hearts, minds, and souls.
In simple terms, Zoe Music's goal is to share their music with everyone, spread the message of God's love, and remind us all of God's incredible worthiness and authority as the Creator and Sustainer of everything in our lives. Songwriter Jon Torgusen says:
Over All is a reflection of the inspiration that flows within us. We believe that God’s wisdom has guided every note we’ve played and each word we’ve wrote. This album serves as a declaration of His glory and endless grace, allowing us to offer our musical talents as instruments for His purpose.
It represents an expression of our faith, serving as both a celebration of God’s constant presence in our lives and a reminder that He reigns supreme over all. It serves as a testament that affirms how God’s hand forever guides us along the righteous path towards spiritual fulfillment.
