Reach City Worship
“More Than A Moment” was inspired by the writings in Acts 2, where we were drawn to the encounter that occurred in the Upper Room.
As the disciples waited on the Lord, the Holy Spirit met them in their place of waiting. There was a direct promise that was connected to their obedience which preceded the outpouring of the Spirit of God.
Our surrender is what catches heaven's attention, and it is in these moments when songs are not nearly enough, when all that we are after is Him. This is the moment when our prayer becomes, 'let your presence fill this place’, ‘come with fire, fall like rain’, and it is here, with hands lifted and hearts completely surrendered, that the prophetic utterance becomes a promise fulfilled in our lives when the Lord said, ”In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.”
If 2020 taught me anything, it’s how much I need Jesus. When writing this song, I wasn’t looking for just another song to sing in order to fill space, or take up time before a message. What I was after, what I am after, is a true encounter with the presence of the Lord. In that, there is a call, and then there is a response. Since the beginning of time, the Lord has longed for intimacy with his people, with us. Sin caused a temporary separation but then Jesus forever broke down the barrier that sin and death had created.
God is calling for a people that long for His presence and this song is our response in saying that we no longer wanted to just go through the motions, we no longer want to live lives of compromise but rather we will surrender every area of our lives to him because we want nothing more than to know him and be known by him.

Worthy is Your Name - Church Will Sing
With a sound that echoes the anthem of heaven’s own praise, Worthy is Your Name draws the church to experience the all-consuming love of Jesus. Inspired by the awe and wonder of Revelation 5:12-13, the lyrics beckon each of us to lift our voices in resounding praise to the One who sits on the throne. Reigning in majestic authority, the nations revel and the foundations of the earth shake at the mere mention of his name.
As the church, we join the chorus of heaven, with hearts consumed in adoration, for the one who was, who is, and always will be, worthy.
When I turn on the news, when I go on Instagram, when I see the fear in the eyes of the guy taking my order at Starbucks, my heart breaks as it feels as if hope is being swallowed up by fear.
Well, where can we go? Where can we turn? Who can we call on? There is only one name and that is Jesus.
There’s no other answer I can give. The weight of tomorrow is too heavy, the fear and uncertainty that has been distorting every area of our lives is too strong, but as a children of God, when we call on the name of the Lord, when we call on the name of Jesus, no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper.
This song was my lifeline in 2020 and even now, when I don’t know where to turn and when I don’t know how I am going to make it, I turn my attention to heaven and as I turn my eyes to Jesus, hope fills every broken area of my life. I can claim this with assurance knowing that my God is for me and he is for you. As we sing the name of Jesus, every sickness and every addiction is defeated, every stronghold is broken, and every demon in hell trembles at the mere mention of his name.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, WORTHY IS YOUR NAME.
