Bridge Worship
Bridge Worship is the worship ministry of The Bridge Church, a multi-site church based in the Greater Nashville area.
“We exist to bring together what has been torn apart — churches, families, neighbors, nations, and relationships with God. With a high regard for collaboration, we use the power of music with the message of the gospel to bring unity to a divided world.”

When I was 10-years old, I knew Jesus as Savior. But it wasn’t until later in life that I knew him as King.
To know him as Savior, we must cry, “Help.” Help restore my life. Help make me new. Help me out of this pit. I can’t do this on my own.
But to know him as King, we must cry, “Here.” Here is my life. Here are my possessions. Here are my dreams. Everything is yours.
While salvation is free (and thank God it is, because if there was a price tag, we wouldn’t be able to afford it!) following Jesus will cost you everything. A Savior requires your supplication, but a King requires your submission.
And it’s in this submission to Jesus as King, that we find the fullness of joy He intended for us. That’s why the tone of the song “That’s My King” is one filled with energy and life! It’s in our “laying down” that we are “raised up” in Christ. And there is nothing worth celebrating more than that!
This song, “That’s My King” is inspired by a 1976 sermon by Dr. S.M. Lockridge.
His words (preached almost 50 years ago) resonate just as deeply today. In a world that seeks to de-throne Jesus, these words seek to counteract that by declaring Him King!
“My King is a King of knowledge. He's the wellspring of wisdom. He's the doorway of deliverance. He's the pathway of peace. He's the roadway of righteousness. He's the highway of holiness. He's the gateway of glory. He's the master of the mighty. He's the captain of the conquerors. He's the head of the heroes. He's the leader of the legislatures. He's the overseer of the overcomers. He's the governor of governors. He's the prince of princes. He's the King of kings and He's the Lord of lords. That's my King!"
These words reinforce the proclamation of Psalm 93: “The Lord is king, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed, he is girded with strength. He has established the world; it shall never be moved.”
