”Rhythm With You” is a reminder of Acts 17:28, that in Him we live and move and have our being.

Who are we that He is even mindful of us? That is a question that I think a lot of us ask on a daily basis. When we are made aware each day that the Spirit of God is alive in us, it changes our perspective. “Rhythm With You” sparks joy as believers within us as we get caught in the ebb and flow of His presence. 

Worship is a response to a love we don’t deserve. Grace rises each morning with the dawn, and we have the pleasure of receiving it and responding to it. I believe this song puts words and melody to the excitement of this opportunity: that in Him we live and move and have our being.

When the writers landed on this theme of being in rhythm with the heartbeat of Jesus, the music began to write itself. The message of the song, both sonically and lyrically, communicates our freedom as children of God. There is an opportunity each day, both in the mundane and in times of corporate worship, to walk, sing, and be in step with the person of Jesus.

When Jesus was on Earth, He was completely in rhythm with Father God.

How fortunate are we to have the same opportunity to commune with Jesus because of the gift of the Holy Spirit?
